Silver Lake Park

Something I have been incredibly impressed with in Rochester so far are the outdoor spaces. Having moved here from Las Vegas, all the trees and greenery are a sight for sore eyes. Add to that the playgrounds that seem to appear every few blocks- amazing! They make me wish I was 6 all over again. This morning we visited the playground at Silver Lake and loved it. It has multiple play areas that appeal to various ages. It offers shade and has convenient seating areas for spectating parents. The only downside is that it is so extensive, it's easy to lose sight of a child (especially a toddler that darts away quickly). Plan to be on the go if you have really little ones. Located on 7th St. and 2nd Ave.
