RochesterFest 2010: Family Fun Night

Well we've jumped right into getting to know our new hometown! With RochesterFest in full swing, we set aside unpacking boxes for a night and headed downtown for Family Fun Night. My toddler liked making a necklace out of noodles, seeing the fire engine up close, and eating the greasy vendor treats. It was a pleasant summer night and the only cost was food (bring cash). I'd recommend arriving early as the lines for spraying the fire hose and the preschoolers train ride looked long.

We attempted the RochesterFest Parade as well but were turned away due to tornado warnings. In future years I'd definitely like to attend the water show, the farm breakfast, and of course the parade. I am pretty sure we will also be visiting Family Fun Night time and time again.

What is your favorite RochesterFest event?
