Connecting with other moms is an essential part of surviving motherhood, especially when your children are young. I am so blessed to have been able to quickly make those connections both through my church "family" and also through my husband's co-worker's wives when we moved here last summer. However, not all people have that immediate support system when moving to a new place. I recently learned about Mothers and More, a "playgroup" for moms, whether they be stay-at-home or working full-time or something in between. They meet at the Edith Mayo Program Center at the Girl Scouts River Valley Facility located at 4428 8th St SW on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. Go here for a full schedule of events and more information on joining.
